Whatever your need is, we have a floor hatch that will work for you. A-Mezz can supply you with models that work with existing openings as well as floor doors designed to be installed in a new opening. With models designed to stay watertight under a 10' column of water to low cost angle frame floor hatches we have it all covered. Custom sizes are available. Many of our floor hatches can be manufactured out of aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
Well Hatch - With its water and odor resistant gasket and pressure locks, this submersible floor hatch is designed to be water tight for up to a 10 foot water column and has a 625# load rating.
Drainable floor hatch - Designed for exterior use, these floor hatches can be designed for pedestrian loads (300psf) or H20 wheel loads. These hatches are cast in place and feature a gutter frame to divert water to a 1-1/2" integrated drain coupling.
Existing opening floor hatch - Our most economical floor door option. These hatches come with an angle frame to bolt down for installation at locations where the opening is already finished off. The standard cover is diamond plate but these can also be made with 1" and 1/8" pans to insert carpet, tiles or other flooring in to provide a clean finish. Most models bolt into your opening to minimize trip hazards but we do offer an option for a surface mount floor door to allow for an economical solution for use in locations without foot traffic.
Specialty floor doors - 2 hour and 3 hour fire rated models are available for interior use only with self closing doors for concrete or wood installation. Designed for use with foot traffic loads only (300psf) with a diamond plate cover or a 1/8" recessed pan to install carpet or tiles in. Non fire-rated hatches are also available in 1" pan.
Safety accessories - Floor doors, while closed, don't require fall protection. Once the door is opened however, you have an unguarded opening that someone could fall through. We can supply flip up grating on some hatch models to secure the opening while the hatch is in use. We also have netting and handrails available for use with some floor hatch models.
