Fire Rated Floor Hatches
We offer two and three hour fire rated hatches for interior use, designed for pedestrian loads (300 psf). These hatches are tested to NFPA 288 and are Warnock-Hersey labeled for two or three hours at a temperature max of 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
Our fire rated floor hatches can be supplied to either be cast into a fresh pour of concrete or bolted into an existing framed opening with an angled frame.
The standard door is an aluminum diamond plate but the door can also be provided with a 1/8" pan to insert a vinyl composition tile (VTC) into the door to help blend in with the floor door's surroundings.
Another available option for the fire rated floor doors is a self-close mechanism that automatically closes the door when the temperature rises above 165 degrees.

Pan Lid Floor Doors
Our Pan Lid Floor doors are also available in a non-fire rated option. This option is available with either a 1/8" pan for vinyl or carpet tiles or a 1" option to better fit ceramic tiles. These are designed for 300psf pedestrian loads and are suitable for interior use. The 1" pan is only available in aluminum and the 1/8" pan is available in both aluminum and steel.
