Our Well Hatch is perfect for areas susceptible to submersion by flooding waters. It features pressure locks with thumb-turn wingnuts as well as an odor and water resistant EPDM rubber gasket installed around the cover.
The Well Hatch is surface mounted and extends above your pad 4".
Due to its minimalist design, you keep more of your rough opening available for clearance. Unlike other hatch designs, the well floor door only shrinks the clear, unobstructed opening by 1" front to back and 2" left to right for the hold open arm, allowing you more clearance with a smaller hatch design.
The well hatch is tested to be water tight for a 10' water column and is designed for a load capacity of 625 pounds/square foot. The cover is 1/4" thick aluminum checker plate, mill finish, with a gray powder coated primer finish on the frame.
Hardware is 316 stainless steel.
